A NEW ERA IN YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH CARE

Additional space for healing
and connection

We are building something new and inspiring on our Portland Campus, historically known as the Parry Center for Children. This new 12-bed Whole Person Health Psychiatric Residential Treatment & Subacute program reflects Trillium’s long-standing commitment to innovation and adaptation. More than just a building, it will be a place of healing, learning, and connection, designed with shared spaces that bring comfort and community to youth and families. Nestled between our academic building – in partnership with Portland Public Schools - and the Healing Garden, this new space represents the next chapter in care at Trillium Family Services.

Care that sees the whole person,
not just the diagnosis.

Whole Person Health is a partnership-based model that puts youth, their families, and their communities at the center of care. Youth-led and family-driven, this model goes beyond traditional mental health services by recognizing that true healing integrates mental, physical, and social well-being to support the full scope of each child’s needs.

We believe this model will establish a new standard for comprehensive, trauma-informed care that responds to each child and family holistically. Our vision includes building partnerships with primary care, women’s health, occupational therapy, substance use services, culturally specific mentoring, peer supports, and programs that foster arts, creative expression, movement, and athletics.

Breaking barriers, building brighter futures.

At Trillium, we know that healing must honor the whole person. The next evolution in mental health care means addressing not only clinical needs, but also educational growth, physical health, cultural identity, and creative expression. Alongside our partners, youth, and families, we have envisioned a new model that embraces collaboration, breaks down barriers, and ensures care is accessible, holistic, and grounded in community.

By transforming residential care into the Whole Person Health model, we are creating pathways to resilience, opportunity, and hope and redefining what it means to care for Oregon’s most vulnerable youth and their families.

“Trillium saw our son Gabe for who he truly is—not his diagnosis, not a label. Their holistic approach gave him the support and skills to thrive, and this new facility will extend that vision to countless children and families."
— Former Parent, Joe James

A $4 Million Campaign to
Transform Youth Mental Health

Imagine a child stepping into a place where they are truly seen, safe, and supported. Our new 12-bed residential facility will be that place; a behavioral health home where children can regain confidence, explore their potential, and heal in a nurturing environment. Here, residential care, medical support, occupational therapy, expressive arts, education, and family engagement work together to create a holistic foundation for recovery and lifelong resilience. With $13.1 million invested by Oregon’s CCOs and $2 million from CareOregon, statewide leaders have already put their trust in Trillium to deliver transformative care.

Your gift will bring this vision to life
across three critical areas:

Building the Space – $1.4M

This funding turns plans into a lived experience of safety and possibility. The facility will include flexible therapy areas, occupational therapy area, a demonstration kitchenette, movable medical equipment, indoor recreation, and thoughtfully furnished rooms. Every corner is designed to support children’s daily routines, therapeutic progress, and moments of joy.

Programming & Capacity – $900K

Your gift brings daily care to life. Staff and partners receive trauma-informed training to provide consistent, skilled support. Children engage in hands-on therapies, arts, movement, and outdoor experiences that help them explore, express, and grow. Expanding the capacity of this new space allows more children to access the care and enrichment that fuels healing and self-confidence.

Trillium Resilience Fund – $1.7M

This fund powers the next chapter of the Whole Person Health Initiative. It supports ongoing innovation, pilot programs, and strategic partnerships that enhance the facility’s impact. By contributing, you ensure that this home continues to spark hope, foster growth, and build resilience for every child who walks through its doors.

Your gift matters

Every child who finds safety, every family who feels supported, and every staff member empowered to deliver integrated care exists because of donors who step forward. Join other supporters in creating a living, breathing model of Whole Person Health, and make a tangible, life-changing difference in the lives of Oregon’s children today and for generations to come.
