Intensive Community Treatment Services & Intensive Outpatient Program

What is ICTS/IOP (Intensive Community Treatment Services/Intensive Outpatient Program)

Trillium’s Intensive Community Treatment Services and Intensive Outpatient for children and their families include individual therapy, family therapy, medication management, and skills training. Services can be provided in the therapist’s office, the community, or in the family home, depending on the need and preferences of the team. These services are provided to families with the hope of keeping children in their homes. Staff are also available on a 24-hour basis to provide crisis support to the child and the family.

Who we are

We are a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and bachelors level skills trainers working with clients and families to help them understand and manage their mental health needs.

Our purpose

We are committed to providing effective clinical treatment for children, adolescents, and families struggling to manage mental health symptoms in the home and community. ICTS/IOP helps prevent the need for residential treatment.

Who we serve

We serve children and adolescents, ages 5 – 17, whose mental health difficulties impact their ability to be successful in their homes, schools, and communities.

Services we provide

Families receive services multiple times per week via individual and family therapy as well as individual and family skills training.

  • A complete list of services includes the following:

  • Evaluation and medication management with a child psychiatrist

  • Individual skills training at home, school, or in the community

  • Individual therapy

  • Family therapy

  • Care coordination

How it is funded

Clients in ICTS are funded either by their family’s private insurance coverage or by Oregon Health Plan (OHP). Trillium contracts with many different private insurance companies. Please contact your health insurance company to determine if ICTS/IOP is covered through your plan. Clients with OHP are often referred through their County Family Care Coordinator, Wrap-Around Coordinator, or other OHP representative.

How we measure success

Each child is given an Individualized Plan of Care, which outlines areas of focus in treatment as well as long and short term goals to measure the client’s progress in treatment. Goals are reviewed in a formal meeting to discuss and review treatment progress and potential discharge from ICTS/IOP.
