What is your role and primary responsibility within the organization?
I started in 2001, I oversee the non-clinical departments including Finance, HR, Contracts, IT, Facilities, Legal and Risk Management.
What is a passion or hobby outside of work that brings you joy?
I love the outdoors and being in my yard. I grow mainly native plants in hopes of increasing the wildlife population of bees and birds. I love all water sports and recently started paddle boarding. I also enjoy traveling with my children.
What motivated you to pursue a career in mental health?
As teens my sister and I struggled navigating the mental health system to find support for our mentally ill parent. The impact it had on us due to the lack of support motivated me to work in the field supporting kids and families who also have family members struggling with mental health challenges. Here at Trillium, I found I could be part of an amazing compassionate clinical team while supporting the administrative side.
