TRILLIUM FAMILY SERVICES WELCOMES JAMIE VANDERGON AS NEW CEO IN MARCH

Trillium Family Services Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Vandergon as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. She will begin the role effective March 1, 2023 concluding a comprehensive multiyear succession planning process. Jamie will replace Kim Scott, who has served as Trillium’s CEO for the past 19 years. Kim will transition into the role of Executive Director of the Trillium Family Services Foundation on March 1, 2023.

Jamie brings extensive experience with Trillium Family Services and has served numerous roles within the organization for the past 20 years, most recently serving as President of the organization since 2017. As CEO, she will provide overall leadership and direction on all aspects of Trillium’s operations and functions, and ensure the organization’s adherence to its mission, vision and values. Trillium Family Services provides the full spectrum of mental health care across Oregon providing care to more than 14,000 youth and families each year.

Jamie is a passionate advocate for addressing upstream issues and expanding community based mental health programs across the state while more closely integrating acute mental health residential programs into all levels of care and community supports. Jamie has a graduate degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore and worked for Johns Hopkins prior to moving to Oregon in 2002. She began her work in Oregon for Trillium over 20 years ago with a brief but meaningful year at Multnomah County supporting the Children’s System Change Initiative in 2008. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon.

“Trillium’s Board welcomes Jamie to her new role and is excited to work with her as the 3rd CEO of this organization,” said Trillium Family Services Board of Trustees Chair and CareOregon CEO Eric Hunter.

“Jamie is well prepared, and Trillium is very fortunate to have her strong leadership, experience and skills as we continue our mission to build brighter futures with Oregon’s children, families and communities.”

“At a time when Oregon youth and families face unprecedented health and mental health challenges, I believe we have to embrace the concept that mental health is health and that we can more seamlessly integrate mental health awareness into all of our lives,” said Jamie. “I look forward to lifting up the work of the dedicated staff and leadership at Trillium and collaborating with our partners throughout the state.”
