Trillium Leadership

What is your role and primary responsibility within the organization?

I am the Vice President of Community Operations in the Mid Willamette Valley and Central Oregon Regions. My teams cover community based services and supports of children and families who are in the Mental Health Promotion and Wellness, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Day Treatment, Young Adult and Equine Programs.

Our team supports children and families in accessing mental health services, in their local communities and schools. We are partnered with many School Districts and community partners to provide service options to fit their needs. In my position, I support my teams in engaging in community and system level discussions and engagement in services, currently within the Benton, Deschutes, Linn, Polk and Marion Counties.

What is a passion or hobby outside of work that brings you joy?

Fresh air!! I love to be outside, doing a variety of things to get connected back with nature. Spending time hiking, going to the coast, fishing, camping, playing fetch with my dog are all things I enjoy doing. Finding time to spend with family in my open time and having the opportunity to share nature with them is something I truly enjoy doing, rain or shine!

What motivated you to pursue a career in mental health?

Continuing the journey with those we serve and communities we support, is what has really driven me to pursue the work in this field. Initially starting as a direct staff, my passion for the work grew as I began to understand the importance of every role within our multidisciplinary teams. Over the course of my time at Trillium, I have had many opportunities to work along side children, families, professionals, our own staff members and communities to better understand the impacts of trauma, difficulties we may face, and how to support them.  Our work within the organization is to build healthier communities and families, which never ends. We are constantly learning and adapting to support the needs of children and families in Oregon, from the lowest to highest levels of care. We are all invested in the work we do. The passion that guides us also supports us in our ongoing learning to build healthier children, families and communities together.
