The children whom we serve come from all walks of life. Their families reflect Oregon.
Many are what our stereotypes consider normal, everyday families. Some families are torn
asunder for various reasons, which propels children into a crisis. Some children come from
dysfunctional homes, where the children's basic needs cannot be met and abuse may be present.
They suffer from illnesses such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and other conditions caused by genetics, biology, environmental conditions, and abuse. Despite the various illnesses and causes, the children have something in common. They no longer can function in their home and community settings. They are disruptive, sometimes uncontrollable, often a danger to themselves or others.
Trillium offers hope to families when they don't know where else to turn. Whether it is a one-time mental health crisis or an ongoing condition, we equip children and their families with the right tools to treat conditions and create new environments that prevent reoccurrences and enable children to realize their full potential.
