LPGA Safeway Classic Golf Tournament
Thanks to hundreds of wonderful volunteers, the LPGA Safeway Classic Golf Tournament was a great success... During the week of August 24-30 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course, volunteers served as caddies for the amateur players in the LPGA pro am and helped at the hospitality tents and the Trillium information booth. To volunteer at next year's event, contact Barbara Hoven-Hafdahl (503-205-0194 or bhoven@trilliumfamily.org). Trillium receives a portion of the tournament proceeds.

Children's Farm Home Annual Alumni Potluck Picnic
In 1922, the Women's Christian Temperance Union opened the doors of the Children's Farm Home to help children in need. Eighty-seven years later, the Children's Farm Home continues this mission. Alumni joined us Saturday, August 8, 2009 to reminisce, view old photographs, and connect with old friendships. For more information about this event, or to schedule an appointment to record "your historical history" while at the Farm Home, please contact Cheri Galvin (541-758-5953 or cgalvin@trilliumfamily.org).

8th Annual Trillium Jake's Charity Golf Classic
Thanks to the generosity of lead sponsors Jake's Famous Crawfish and Group Mackenzie, the 8th annual Trillium Jake's Charity Golf Classic was a hole-in-one! Not even rain (or hail) could dampen the spirit of these golfers. The day was filled with golf, food, and fun and raised more than $108,000 for Trillium and the children in our care. An additional thank you to all of our corporate sponsors for your generosity: Benson Industries, Glumac, Hoffman Construction, Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund, Metropolitan Group, Providence Health & Services, Shirley and David Pollock, and Tournament Golf Foundation, Inc.

10th Annual Denim and Diamonds
The Mary Powers Guild outdid themselves once again at the 10th annual Denim and Diamonds dinner and auction. Emcee John Hope-Johnstone and auctioneer Mayor Charlie Tomlinson entertained the crowd while raising funds to benefit the programs at the Children's Farm Home. A special thank you to the corporate sponsors: Benson Industries, Corvallis Aero Service, Insights NOW!, KGAL/KSHO, Knife River, Maul Foster Alongi, ORM Consulting, OSU Federal Credit Union, Providence Health & Services, Samaritan Health Services, T. Gerding Construction, and Umpqua Bank.

25th Anniversary Classic Wines Auction
The Classic Wines Auction, one of the top five wine auctions in the country, raised $2.25 million for five Portland area charities including Trillium Family Services. More than 750 guests attended the 25th anniversary gala dinner and auction at the Oregon Convention Center on March 7, which was preceded by week-long festivities including Taste Walla Walla, Wine by the Glass, the Ambassadors Dinner and more than 30 Winemaker Dinners. Thank you to all who supported Trillium's involvement in this elegant event.

3rd Annual Sleep Country Pajama Bowl
The 3rd annual Sleep Country Pajama Bowl was another major success, with 141 teams bowling their way to $100,000 for a population in need...Oregon's foster children. Representing Trillium were two foursomes from our Therapeutic Foster Care Program, along with two teams of rockers from our friends at KUFO, whose disc jockeys auctioned off spots to 101.1 listeners. A huge thank you to the folks at Sleep Country for their dedication not only to Trillium's foster children but to all of the foster kids across the state.

Kistner Klassic
The Kistner Klassic once again surpassed all expectations. A bowling event that began 23 years ago with only 10 couples has grown into an annual fundraising tournament for Trillium Family Services boasting 300 participants! Throughout the years, Dan Kistner, the sole organizer of the Klassic, has raised in excess of $90,000, including $11,000 from this year's tournament. Dan believes that next year he may need to expand to both a morning and afternoon competition to accommodate all the bowlers who look forward to this tournament year after year.

KUFO
December 12, 2008 marked the 10th annual KUFO Rock-A-Thon. We grooved our way to $16,000 thanks to the generosity of the wonderful staff at KUFO and their loyal listener base. During the 14 hour event, listeners requested songs for a price and bid on auction items. Some highlights of the day were the bid off for a signed Metallica guitar and hearing Celine Dion's "It's all Coming Back to Me Now" on this hard rock station. We thank everyone who participated in the Rock-a-Thon and are already looking forward to the fun in 2009!
