Kristine Evans
Family Services Coordinator
Trillium Central Oregon Campus
Kristine Evans began her work with Trillium Family Services as a Family Services Coordinator for the Central Oregon Region in August of 2006. Prior to coming to Trillium, she worked in Deschutes County for 5 years. There she worked with young children ages 6 months to 7 years old through the ESD.
When asked what her typical day looks like, Kristine said, “It has been a mixture of putting out a lot of different fires.” Kristine frequently partners with DHS and Child Services and participates in numerous wrap-around meetings where all of the adults involved in a child’s treatment come together to problem-solve the best ways to help that child. She also spends a lot of time doing home visits with her clients. There are currently two foster care providers she also works with in her role. Kristine said, “The transition period for children going into foster care is huge.” Whatever kind of environment these children are coming from, Kristine helps them to develop skills to get through that transition.
Kristine says she feels very blessed to work for Trillium and loves her work. Her current goal is to get a Master’s degree in Counseling. Although she lives near one of the best mountains for skiing in the Pacific Northwest, she doesn’t snow ski. Kristine says, “I’m a summer girl. I like to water ski and I go kayaking all summer long, boating and swimming.” She also has an 11-year old son that keeps her very busy.
