Caddie for a Cause 2008!

Be part of the pro-am action and help children in need by volunteering to be a caddie for an amateur player at this year’s LPGA Safeway Classic to be held Aug. 18-24 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland.

No experience is necessary, and pull carts are available. As a caddie, you’ll get to watch one of the LPGA’s top players from inside the ropes as she helps her amateur team compete in the Safeway/Nabisco Pro/Am Tournament.

All money raised benefits Trillium’s mental health care programs including school-based programs that help at-risk children succeed in their local schools.

Caddie shifts are the morning of Monday, Aug.18; morning and afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 20; and morning and afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 21.

Volunteers receive a Trillium golf hat and weekend passes to the LPGA Tournament.

The Safeway Foundation and Tournament Golf Foundation, which organizes the LPGA Safeway Classic, annually donate more than $100,000 from tournament proceeds to benefit children’s mental health programs at Trillium Family Services.

Volunteers also are needed to assist as gatekeepers or in hospitality tents through August 24th. For more information on other volunteer opportunities that benefit Trillium programs, please call Barbara Hoven-Hafdahl at 503-205-0194.
